How to dissuade people from smocking ?

C’est en résumé la question d’un petit devoir écrit qu’on avait à rendre pour aujourd’hui. J’espère que je n’ai pas fait trop de fautes. Oui, je sais… …mon écrit ne s’enchaine pas très logiquement ! In order to dissuade people from smocking, I think the best method is to shock smokers. For example, advertisements where we can see a diseased lung or a dead person are shocking. Even if this type of ads against cigarette may disturb some people, I believe they are effective in the eyes of smokers. From now on, slogans to prevent the risks associated with smoking are present on all packs. Some are less effective than others. The one that attracts most is « Smoking kills », but it is so common that people don’t pay attention to it anymore. Moreover, the price of packs of cigarettes increasing more and more. In my opinion, this government’s decision should encourage some people to stop smoking. In spite of all these preventive measures, young people start smoking every day. It’s strange enough!
